At Three Roots, I work in two distinct but deeply connected ways. I provide individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, trauma and major life transitions.

I also consult with healthcare organizations to reimagine the youth mental health journey, drawing on clinical insight, lived experience and decades of strategic leadership. My work focuses on designing more compassionate, effective systems of care from the family’s perspective.

Three Roots was born out of a deeply personal journey and a belief that transformation starts by telling the truth about what’s working, what’s not and what needs to change.

Whether I’m supporting a client 1:1 or partnering with a healthcare system, I help individuals and organizations move from insight to action.

I’m a licensed therapist, EMDR-trained social worker, experienced entrepreneur and passionate advocate for youth mental health and systems change.

For more than 25 years, I’ve advised executives, led a nationally recognized communications agency and guided mission-driven organizations through moments of growth, crisis and change. I hold degrees from Vanderbilt University, Northwestern University and the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work.

I’ve spent decades serving on nonprofit boards and leading community-based efforts to improve the lives of youth and families. In 2015, I co-founded The Get Grounded Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports youth mental health and well-being through community grants and partnerships. I also lead advocacy and awareness efforts for The Sam Aden Kindness Fund, housed within the Foundation and created in honor of my son, Sam, to advance upstream mental health support and compassion-driven systems change.
